Found a rehearsal recording of this on a random MP3 trawl the other night and realised we had a clip of it from a live gig… This was an awfully hot summer night down in High Wycombe, but it was jolly good fun.

Bring Out Your Dead II
Well, we had so much fun at BOYD the first that we did it again, this time at the Bull’s Head in Moseley with promoters Marclar. This time Papa November and Them Use Them were joined by Deep Grass and Juneau Brothers. I supplied guitar as part of Papa November’s set like last time…though there […]
Bring Out Your Dead
Good old First Fold Records had a bash at Grand Union Studios in Birmingham, with The Plague Doctor, Pierre and Karlheinz, The Resource Centre, The Assembled Minds, Papa November and Einstellung. (image shamelessly pilfered from Mr Tonge). I was guesting on guitar with Papa November, and a splendid time was had. See the video below!
Danelectro French Toast and Fablon Encore guitar
Just in case you are wondering, I modded my Encore guitar a few years back and made this video about it. I’m playing it through a Danelectro French Toast octave distortion pedal and a Boss MG-10 amplifier.
Lifescreen
I saw Lifescreen up in Leeds back in April and was blown away – they are an incredible rock group and now, even more incredibly, they’re giving away their back catalogue for free! Download it ALL here and ask yourself why this band are not MASSIVE!
Improvising at We Are Birmingham
Played a short set of improvised grooves at the Premier Pli launch, part of Gareth Courage’s “From The Ashes Of Industry We Rise” exhibition. I played guitar and Stu checked his email…(!) Thanks to Maria for the video!

These things take time…

Radio User bigs up Spunkle
As Stu wrote over on the First Fold Records blog, Spunkle and The Fold got some coverage in the found-in-WH-Smiths-publication “Radio User” recently, courtesy of Chrissy Brand. A very unexpected pleasure – thanks Chrissy!
Spunkle on Spotify
“Jowalford” has set up a playlist for the Spunkle release Music For DXing – all you Spotify users can access this one if you want. Note though that if you buy the CD version, you get two tracks that aren’t on the digital download…
