Suddenly it came to me
I have lived my life like a country after a war
Barbed wire and border guards all around
Protecting me from an ending that no one understood
Stopping anyone from making a claim on my territory
Whilst I moved on and rebuilt
No more war, but heavily fortified
A cold war
Territories rebuilt long ago
But missiles still point towards the past
But what if the guards are let go?
The barbed wire pulled down?
The missiles melted?
With no threat to each other any more
Live in a state without fortifications
Their energy and mystery are free
To be used for remaining tomorrows
